Terms of Use

Ontario Pharmacy Finder operates as an independent directory of pharmacies in Ontario. We provide publicly available, user-submitted, or pharmacy-provided information such as names, addresses, services offered, and contact details.

We are not a regulatory body, a pharmacy licensing authority, or endorsed by the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP). Inclusion on our directory does not constitute certification, approval, or endorsement by us or any government agency.

All content on the Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

You are solely responsible for verifying any information before relying on it (e.g., confirming a pharmacy's hours or services). We disclaim all liability for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, resulting from your use or reliance on the Site.

Any person or entity (e.g. pharmacy manager) who submits or claims a listing:

• Must ensure all information is truthful, accurate, lawful, and complete (e.g. services offered, operating hours, contact info).
• Must promptly update or correct any changes or inaccuracies.
• Must not use the listing to post content that violates legal or regulatory standards (e.g. false advertising, misleading claims, unauthorized drug promotions).
• Grants us a non-exclusive license to display the listing, for presentation on the Site.

We have the right (but not obligation) to review, refuse, remove, or suspend any listing or content that appears misleading, unlawful, or non-compliant with these Terms.

You must not post or permit:

• Any promotional content promoting prescription or controlled substances in a manner contrary to federal or provincial law.
• Claims that are false, misleading, or deceptive, or that overstate services or outcomes.
• Use of inducements, gifts, referral fees, discounts or loyalty programs to influence pharmacy choice, if prohibited by pharmacy law/regulations.
• Content that implies endorsement or regulatory approval by OCP or government agencies unless legitimately permitted.
• Copyrighted material, logos, trademarks (e.g. OCP logo), or proprietary intellectual property unless authorized.

We may remove any content that violates these rules or regulatory guidelines, such as OCP's advertising rules or Health Canada's distinction guidance.

All content on the Site (excluding listings provided by third parties) is owned or licensed by us, and is protected by copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws. You may view, use, or share content only per these Terms; you may not reproduce, distribute, build derivative works, or commercially exploit it without permission.

We may provide links to third-party websites or resources. Such links are for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement or responsibility for their content or practices. We disclaim any liability arising from your use of external sites.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our liability (and that of our owners, employees, affiliates) for any claim related to the Site is limited to the lesser of (a) direct damages up to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months, or (b) CA$100.
• We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, punitive, or special damages (loss of profits, data, business interruption, etc.).
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ontario Pharmacy Finder (and its officers, employees, agents) from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your listing, content, or use of the Site in violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

We may modify or suspend the Site (or any part) or these Terms at any time without notice. Changes will be effective when posted. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

We may also terminate or suspend your access at our discretion (e.g. if you violate these Terms).

These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Ontario courts for disputes relating to the Site.

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court, that provision will be severed and the remainder will remain valid. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive our right to enforce later or other rights.
